History is best appreciated when we can physically touch it, and art is only inspirational when it can be seen. Through Cole Art Center and Cole's Aircraft, our brand, products, and galleries combine original art with important history and touchable historic artifacts. Our displays are unique educational experiences that show history, as opposed to telling history, and allow one to touch something that may otherwise only be read about upon paper. We fill our galleries with specially selected and uniquely presented pieces of history, and pair them with some of the best art in the world. Our online stores offer much smaller versions of these displays to be purchased and preserved in the intimacy of one's own home.

Our online store at RonCole.net is always open. Over 600 unique products are listed here, the vast majority of which are very limited-edition historic aircraft relic displays that combine the original artwork of Ron Cole with carefully researched histories and small pieces of the actual aircraft depicted. Important historic machines include the first manned aircraft to ever fly, the 1903 Wright Flyer, the Spirit of St. Louis, Amelia Earhart's Lockheed Vega, numerous Great War and World War II aircraft, and the Lockheed SR-71 Blackbird - among countless others. Pieces of these machines include materials such as Pride of the West muslin (Wright 1903 Flyer), aluminum skin, and titanium (SR-71 Blackbird, XB-70, and F-117 Stealth Fighter). All of these displays are signed & numbered.

Located at 616 Main Street, Zanesville, Ohio, our 4000-square-foot gallery and studio is in the heart of historic downtown Zanesville, and only three short blocks from access to Interstate 70 - one of the busiest freeways in the United States. The best of our collection is on display here and includes one of the only original World War II Japanese Zero Fighters left in the world, the largest piece of the LZ129 Hindenburg in private hands, a tail section from the otherwise extinct Austro-Hungarian Hansa Brandenburg W.13 floatplane of 1917, and countless other important displays and artifacts. Our relic displays are also available here, as all are produced here, on site, in our studio. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., and we are open to the public every Saturday between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. or by appointment: 740.319.9211
Ron Cole hails from upstate New York but regards Los Angeles, California as his place of origin. Ron built his career as a product development engineer, artist, and designer in Marina del Rey, California, working as Head Designer for 3D Industrial Design and later as a freelancer who worked for numerous important companies such as Disney, Pixar, Dreamworks, Boeing, Stuart Karten Design, Mattel, JPL, West Coast Choppers, NASA, and RIO Casino, Las Vegas.
After nearly a decade in California Ron moved East and became Senior Managing Director at Davison Design and Inventionland outside of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. At the same time Ron started Cole's Aircraft Aviation Art as a platform to market his original historic and aircraft art. After two years Ron plunged full time into Cole's Aircraft and grew the company from selling a few pieces on eBay to a million-dollar global business by 2022.
In mid-2023 Ron Cole, and his wife Erin Cole, purchased the 27,000 square-foot historic Montgomery Ward Building in downtown Zanesville, Ohio, and established Cole Center Zanesville as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Ron and his wife will be transforming the historic structure into a museum and interactive collection of historic aviation and automotive displays, all in the interests of education, tourism, and local economic development.
Ron and Erin Cole operate two well established art galleries in Zanesville, including the Cole's Aircraft Studio & Gallery at 616 Main Street downtown. They also both serve as officers for the Artist Colony of Zanesville (ArtCOZ), which hosts the community's First Friday Art Walks, Y-Bridge Arts Festival, and Holiday Art Fest, among other area art activities and shows.
Cole Center Zanesville is centrally located across from the Muskingum County Courthouse in downtown Zanesville, Ohio, and a mere four blocks from Interstate 70. The historic 26,000-square-foot building will house one of the region's largest and most important collections of aviation & transportation memorabilia and art, displayed for the purposes of education and tourism.
"For over twelve years I've been combining my original aviation artwork with authentic pieces from the aircraft I depict. Pieces of metal or fabric don't speak for themselves well, and new artwork is just new artwork. But together they form the perfect combination. Real history that you can touch; a visual testimonial to men and machines. Not just a piece of art on a wall. Not just an artifact in a showcase" - Ron Cole
The Cole's Aircraft studio and gallery occupies 2500 square feet in the heart of historic downtown Zanesville, Ohio. Besides housing one of the world's last fully original Japanese A6M2 Model 21 Zero fighters, thousands of other rare and unique historical artifacts are on display, including the largest section of the Zeppelin Hindenburg in private hands.
Our gallery is open every Saturday between 11 AM and 5 PM.
We participate in our local First Friday Art Walk from 5 to 8 PM every first Friday of every month.
